How we handle data submitted through this site

Who we are

Thiessentech OÜ (“THIESSEN”, “we”) is the controller of personal data collected through this website. Our registered office is at Sepapaja tn 6, Lasnamäe linnaosa, Tallinn, Harju maakond 15551, Estonia. For privacy enquiries, contact privacy@thiessentech.com.

What we collect

• Form submissions. When you request an evaluation sample or contact us, we receive the fields you provide — name, work email, company, country, project details, expected production volume, technical requirements, and any optional message.
• Country auto-detection.When the contact and sample-request pages load, our edge runtime reads the visitor's country code from the network-level geolocation header set by our hosting provider. The IP address itself is not stored or shown to us; only the two-letter country code is used to pre-fill the country field, which the visitor can override.
• Bot-protection metadata. Our forms use hCaptcha to deter automated submissions. hCaptcha may process technical signals (IP, browser characteristics, mouse movement) for the sole purpose of distinguishing humans from bots.
• No advertising or analytics cookies. The site does not set advertising cookies, does not track visitors across other sites, and does not run analytics scripts that profile individuals.

Why we process this data and our lawful basis

• Responding to your enquiry — processing is necessary to take steps prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Regional routing and export-compliance checks — we have a legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in directing your enquiry to the correct regional contact and in applying applicable export-control rules.
• Marketing updates— only sent if you check the optional “Keep me updated” box. This is processed on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), and you can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by writing to the address above.
• Bot protection — legitimate interest in preventing abuse of our submission forms.

Who we share data with

We use the following processors to operate this site. Each is engaged under a data-processing agreement appropriate to the GDPR.

• Vercel Inc. — hosting and edge delivery (United States; uses EU data regions and SCCs for EU-origin traffic).
• Web3Forms — form-submission delivery to our internal mailbox.
• hCaptcha (Intuition Machines, Inc.) — bot protection.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertising networks or data brokers.

How long we keep it

Enquiry data is retained while your sales engagement is active and for up to 24 months thereafter so we can pick up follow-up conversations. Marketing-list entries are kept until you unsubscribe. You may ask us to delete your record sooner at any time.

Your rights

Under the GDPR (and equivalent laws such as the UK GDPR and California CCPA), you may request access to your data, correction of inaccuracies, deletion, restriction of processing, and a machine-readable export. You may also withdraw any marketing consent or object to processing based on legitimate interest. Contact privacy@thiessentech.com and we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority — in Estonia, the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate.

Updates

We will revise this page when our practices change and update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated to known contacts where reasonably possible.
